Do not miss the Pork Belly!!
A colleague recommended 1845 while we were in town. We were treated with great, friendly service. The meatballs and pork belly were fantastic appetizers.
I enjoyed the Prime Rib French Dip and some of the best Brussel Sprouts I’ve ever had! We ended the evening with a cocktail on the beautiful patio.
Great Experience! Jackie F.

What is Pork Belly
Really nice upscale restaurant…The Meatballs and Pork Belly appetizers were great. I had the BG Margarita which was really smooth. And the dessert sampler didn’t have anything on them that wasn’t delicious. My favorite was the Blueberry Crumble, but the Espresso Cake was equally amazing. Thomas G.
Do you live for bacon? Does the thought of pancetta on your charcuterie board make your mouth water? Chefs at 1845 take that same great cut and work their own magic turning it into a melt-in-your-mouth culinary event! Always awesome, great food in Flower Mound!
Recipes and cooking methods vary greatly for pork belly. The meat can be smoked, grilled, braised, pressure cooked or roasted. Let’s look at one method here. Smoked Pork Belly.
When smoking remember, low and slow is best! 225 degrees works well. Cube the pork belly and smoke for an hour. Turn and continue for another hour.
Meanwhile, make the glaze of your choice. Suggestions for ingredients would include honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. If you like a little heat, shake in a touch of sriracha sauce.
Mix the smoked pork and glaze in a pan. Cover and return to indirect heat for another 90 minutes. Uncover and turn frequently for a final 30 minutes. Cool for a verrrrry long 4 hours. Then, finally, enjoy!!
Or visit 1845, order a cocktail and the Pork Belly Appetizer. Wait maybe 10 minutes. Your Pork Belly will be in front of you, presented by one of the friendliest servers you’ll find in Texas!!
Pork Belly with Dr. Pepper glaze, garnished with sliced green onions. You’ll also get two slider buns. How Texas is that!
The Pork Belly Appetizer was amazing! Jeremy
