From an hour before writing this – 1845 Taste Texas is absolutely amazing. It surpassed all of our expectations!! The hostesses were very friendly, as was the rest of the staff. Our waitress, Nina, was beyond kind and helpful. A 10/10 Texas Experience! Abby I.
Friday – Food was excellent and service from the staff impeccable (even on a busy Friday night). We went as a large group … if you want to get out and enjoy an amazing meal or have a “special” evening with a spouse or family you won’t be disappointed with the quality of food and overall experience. Whether you are ordering The Texas Experience with its Fried Jalapenos, Signature Poblano Meatballs, Lockhart Fried Quail, or, the Pork Belly with Dr. Pepper Glaze and slider buns to share with the table or just enjoying a quiet Shrimp Cocktail, you will see people treating themselves to a nice time out. And you’ll begin to recognize a few if you make a repeat visit or two! You can’t keep the best food in Flower Mound a secret for long.
Reservations & Responsibility
Place your reservation HERE. And, yes, there really is reservation etiquette. The concept is meant to help both the guest and the restaurant. Guests can make plans and anticipate their evening’s schedule. And restaurants can be appropriately staffed to fully accommodate diners.
The diner wins when restaurants offer the opportunity to reserve tables. Nothing better than walking into a crowded restaurant only to hear, “Your table is waiting!” when you arrive. And while it’s magic when everything works, the schedule can be thrown off by many different things.
Late Arrivals
Consider asking what your arrival time window is when you make your reservation. And then be sure you and your guests all stay in that. Or, if you and/or your guests aren’t going to make the window, call the restaurant to let them know. Will they still be able to accommodate your party? Better to know before you make the trip. Everybody’s happy!
No Shows - A No No
It’s good to know that many of the reservation apps now keep track of your reservation history. Book too many no-shows, and you could find yourself locked out of the opportunity to make future reservations. Be sure to cancel as soon as you realize you need to change your plans.
